I heard the alarm screaming,
Mom, so I jumped out of bed.
I went to school,
Mom, I remembered what you said.
You told me not to go on the footboard,
Mom, so, I did what you said.
I really felt proud inside,
Mom, the way you said I would.
I didn’t hang on the footboard,
Mom, even though my other colleagues said I should
I know I did the right thing,
Mom, I know you’re always right.
Now, I am getting close to my destination,
Mom, everyone is rushing to go in front.
I know I should not hurry,
Mom, so I let the others go.
I am the last one to get off the bus,
Mom, so I felt very happy.
I know I have to cross the road,
Mom, I got closer to the yellow lines.
I saw the way others cross the road,
Mom, I know, they were wrong.
I know I have to go to school in one piece,
Mom, so I started to cross the road carefully,
The reckless bus didn’t see me,
Mom, and hit me.
So, I flew over the road on to the payment,
Mom, there is blood around me,
Mom, and hit me.
So, I flew over the road on to the payment,
Mom, there is blood around me.
I hear the policeman say,
Mom there driver is drunk,
And I know,
Mom, I am the one who will pay.
I am getting closer to death,
Mom, it’s hard to die.
Anyway, I know I have to die,
Mom, don’t worry.
I am feeling sharp pains now.
Mom, I can’t bear these pains.
I know one thing,
More, some how, I have to bear.
The guy who hit me is walking,
Mom, I think it’s unfair,
Tell my sister not to cry,
Mom, tell father to be brave.
My breath is getting shorter and shorter,
Mom, I am feeling very scared now.
I don’t know how to die,
Mom, but I know this is the way fate treats me,
Little children everywhere,
Mom, when you see them I’ll be there,
Mom, before I say goodbye.
I promise you,
Mom, I’ll be with you very soon.
